Delete your Count What Matters account
You can permanently request deletion directly in the iOS or Android app.
Delete from the app
- Open Settings.
- Open Your account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
- If asked, complete a fresh sign-in so we can verify the request.
If you cannot access the app, email support@countwhatmatters.com from your support address and ask for Count What Matters account deletion. We may ask you to verify control of the account before accepting the request.
What deletion removes
An accepted request disables account access immediately and queues deletion of active account data, sessions, cloud-backed counts and profiles, connections, hosted events, invitations, responses, notification tokens, encrypted sign-in credentials, and optional cloud photo copies associated with the account.
What may remain
Database recovery history may retain earlier database versions for up to 30 days before the provider’s automatic expiry. Store transaction records are retained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or us when required for accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Deletion cannot remove files you exported or shared, invitation information already saved by another participant, or offline copies on other devices. Delete those device copies separately.
Limited deletion records remain to prevent deleted accounts or shared content from returning during recovery. These contain internal account and content identifiers, deletion dates, and technical routing information, not private count details or photo files. If a shared card was removed following a report, a separate enforcement record retains the case, account and card identifiers, reviewed version, reason category, and action date. Account deletion does not automatically remove that record or support email correspondence.
Delete selected data without deleting your account
You can delete individual cards, people and events from their in-app menus. To remove only backed-up photo copies, open Settings → Your account and choose Remove cloud photo copies. These actions do not require deleting the rest of your account. For help with a specific record, email support@countwhatmatters.com.
